Biography
Experience
Niloufar Yashar is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing psychotherapy with children, adolescents, adults and families since 1997 (MFT 37773). Niloufar is presently on the board of licensed staff therapists at Children’s Institute International where she provides school-based individual, family and group psychotherapy for clients, in addition to supervising, mentoring and coaching new interns.
She is certified in PCIT (Parent Child Interaction Therapy) by UC Davis, trained in providing short term evidence based TFCBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and CM -TFT (Culturally Modified Trauma Focused Therapy).
Education
Niloufar earned her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in 1997 and her Bachelors of Science in Engineering from University of California Los Angeles in 1983.
She has dedicated a great portion of her life to her gifts of life, motherhood, family and friends while developing her professional career and personal growth.
She has been a member of CAMFT since 1998 and has recently joined IAPA, the Iranian American Psychological Association. She lives biculturally and is fluent in English, Spanish and Farsi.
